Overview of the vacancy

To support the Director of People in achieving the delivery of a comprehensive payroll service in combination with our payroll provider ADP.

Purpose of the department

To deliver a generalist HR service to the staff and Partners of TWM Trust Corporation Limited and with contractors of TWM Solicitors LLP.

Job description

1. Maintaining the ADP database
In combination with the HR Co-ordinators, administer:

  • Starters and leavers, movers and promotions
  • Salary increases
  • Changes in working patterns
  • Calculating holiday entitlements, salaries, maternity dates, etc.
  • Overseeing the firm’s self-service absence management system and absence records
  • Producing a spreadsheet annually in regarding holiday carry over
  • Producing reports and spreadsheets to assist the work of the department.

2. Monthly Payroll Tasks

  • Carrying out all pre-payroll activities and some post-commit payroll activities
  • Checking and uploading P45s, HMRC New Starter forms to ADP
  • Preparing payroll file for processing and chasing any missing information
  • Sending information to ADP by designated deadlines to process payroll
  • Inputting payroll information onto the payroll software
  • Liaising with the payroll provider regarding queries
  • Dealing with staff queries
  • Checking the payroll prior to commit
  • Downloading and saving reports and managing pre-commit and post-commit sign off
  • Collating P11D information

3. Annual Payroll Tasks

  • Preparing payroll data for annual pay review and bonus payments

4. Act as primary contact with ADP payroll specialist

5. Administration of the firm’s Pension Scheme
In combination with the HR Co-ordinator, carry out the monthly pension assessment and process the monthly payments online

6. Administration of the firm’s childcare voucher scheme

7. Undertaking project work as and when required.

Qualifications

Payroll experience required. Familiarity with ADP desirable.

  • Keyboard skills and knowledge of Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook. Intermediate level
  • Knowledge of sickness, absence, maternity and similar procedures and their application in payroll.
