The main aspects of Rachel’s role involve managing the post-completions team and ensuring lenders’ expectations are met through the timely and accurate processing of deeds. The post-completions team also assists with answering queries from Land Registry to assist the completions team.
Previously, Rachel worked for a buy-to-let lender for eight years, beginning her career as an administrator before progressing into the processing department. In this role, she handled applications from decision in principle, carrying out credit searches and assisting underwriters with Land Registry searches and document uploads for review.
She has also worked as a Completions Assistant, liaising with solicitors regarding Certificates of Title and ensuring all offer conditions were satisfactorily met. Rachel achieved a funds release mandate, enabling the release of funds to solicitors for completion in accordance with the Certificate of Title.
In her role as an underwriter, Rachel assessed applications and credit reports, instructed and reviewed valuations to enable offers to be issued, and assisted with post-completion enquiries.
