David has over 20 years’ experience working with a wide range of clients, helping them arrange their affairs as well as managing the estate of loved ones who have passed.
David has extensive experience in drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, the key cornerstones of estate planning, as well as broader estate planning matters such as lifetime gifting. He is also highly experienced in estate administration, handling both simple and complex estates. In addition, he advises individuals appointed as attorneys on the scope of their authority and how to fulfil their roles effectively.
Work highlights
- Advised on various multi-million-pound estates, including one comprising 27 properties and another containing valuable collections of rare butterflies and a business in Scotland.
- Assisted a French client whose relative died intestate with estates in both England and France. David secured a secondary grant to enable property to be sold and estate administration to progress, communicating effectively with a client who spoke very little English.
- Acted for executors whose relationship with the residuary beneficiary had broken down, using meetings conducted in English and Italian to overcome cultural and linguistic misunderstandings and achieve a successful resolution.
