Fiona is a Partner in Commercial Property, working out of the firm’s Guildford office.
Experience
Fiona has extensive experience in all types of commercial property matters including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters and ongoing management issues. Fiona also has experience acting for lenders in respect of residential developments and provides corporate support on property aspects of business acquisitions. Fiona has acted for a range of clients including companies, investors, lenders, pension funds, as well as private individuals.
Work highlights
Fiona has acted for clients on a wide range of complex matters, including:
- Acting for an international nail salon on the acquisition of multiple leasehold premises
- Acting for national restaurant operators on the acquisition of leasehold premises
- Acting for lenders on a range of development finance transactions for residential developments
- Dealing with commercial leases for office tenants
- Sole responsibility for management of premises along 123/151 Buckingham Palace Road
- Being featured in “Development Finance Today” for completing a £4.2m development loan within three weeks from introduction
- Assisting on the purchase of the Lloyds Building for £260 million by Ping An Insurance.
Education and legal training
Fiona graduated from Warwick University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature before completing both the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course with distinction at the University of Law in Guildford. Fiona trained at a leading global law firm in London which included a six month secondment with one of the firm’s key clients before qualifying as a Solicitor and joining the firm’s real estate team in 2014. Fiona then moved to a firm of real estate specialist lawyers in the West End before joining TWM in September 2024.
