Tanuja is a Partner in the Commercial Property team, working out of the firm’s Guildford office. Tanuja works with a practical and commercial approach and takes the time to get to know her clients and their businesses so that she can best understand their requirements and concerns from the outset of any commercial property transaction.
Experience
Tanuja brings over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. She specialises in all aspects of non-contentious commercial property work, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, the grant and renewal of business leases, commercial funding and secured lending for commercial and mixed-use sites, and corporate support work. Her clients include expanding businesses, charities, investors, corporate occupiers, and users of retail, office, and industrial premises.
Work highlights
Tanuja has acted for clients on a wide range of commercial property matters including:
- Acting for regional and national retailers on their leasehold portfolios to include dealing with their new leases, lease renewals, lease surrenders and licence arrangements
- Acting for clients on commercial property refinancing matters, involving multiple properties and occupants, complex security arrangements and tight timeframes
- Assisting corporate clients through multi-million pound asset and share sales and acquisitions, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Education and legal training
Tanuja has a law degree and a postgraduate diploma in law and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. She has recently joined the TWM commercial property team in Guildford having worked at larger regional law firms.
Outside of work, Tanuja enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys doing ballet and yoga in an attempt to try and stay healthy and calm!
