With over 12 years of extensive experience in all types of residential property matters, Raj brings a wealth of expertise in handling a wide range of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, deeds of variation, and secured lending. Prior to joining TWM, Raj served as Lead Conveyancer and Partner at Taylor Rose MW, and prior to that, worked at Blaser Mills and Penningtons Manches Cooper.
Raj will be assisting Claire Fountain, Partner and Head of Residential Property at TWM, with the day-to-day management, supervision and running of the department. Working closely with the team across all TWM offices, she will ensure exceptional client service and uphold the firm’s reputation for high-quality, bespoke residential conveyancing. Commenting on the appointment, Claire stated: “Raj is already proving to be a breath of fresh air for TWM and our Residential Property team. She’s settling in well, embracing our ethos and core values with enthusiasm. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Raj and I’m excited about the journey ahead as we continue to work together.”
Raj said: “I want to be a part of the firm at this exciting time. I’ve always been impressed when I’ve had dealings with TWM over the years of being on the other side of transactions and coming across fee-earners at networking events, therefore I’m proud to now be a part of the TWM family.
“This is a new, non-fee earning position and indicative of the department’s and the firm’s commitment to change and development of new initiatives to drive the business forwards. After working in a fee-earning capacity for many years, I was searching for a fresh challenge. The firm’s going through an exciting period with an ambitious plan, and I’m excited to help put it into action.”
TWM’s Residential Property team is one of the largest departments at TWM, in terms of size of its team, fee income and matter openings in the firm. The team is highly regarded and respected by clients, referrers, and other law firms. While the property market is gradually returning to a new normal post-pandemic and post-SDLT holiday, the firm operates in a competitive landscape, and continues to do well and it remains positive about the market.
