From 2 April 2023, statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and parental bereavement pay, as well as statutory shared parental leave pay, all increased to £172.48 (from £156.66) per week.

From 6 April 2023, statutory sick pay will increase to £109.40 (from £99.35) per week.

In addition, from 6 April 2023 the limit on a week’s pay for various calculations, including statutory redundancy pay and the basic award (and additional award) in unfair dismissal claims, will increase to £643 (from £571).

The limit on the amount of the compensatory award that can be made in unfair dismissal claims also increases, rising to £105,707 (from £93,878) or one year’s pay – whichever is lower.  Of course, the limit is removed for certain kinds of claim.
