Work highlights
- Provided mediation between parties at court – the opponent dropped their counterclaim for damages of £10,000 against a claim for possession by accepting an apology on behalf of the client.
- Represented client at a hearing where the tenant accepted to drop her defence of the claim by giving six weeks to vacate with no order for costs and no enforcement if she voluntarily vacated at the date given by the court.
- Agreed termination of a tenancy for £20,000 compensation where we acted for the tenant. All the tenant’s demands were accepted including an extra five days in the property and payment of our legal fees, obtaining compensation and costs from the freeholder/landlord for a leaseholder’s uninhabitable property when the freeholder denied liability.
